The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their status as key figures in the powerful family could help the party access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Planners tables.
Fans can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
