In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.

The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
